Peter Scott Zegarzewski, age 56 of Loudon, TN formerly of Charlestown, RI passed away unexpectedly on June 10, 2021. He was devoted to his family as a loving husband, patient father, enthusiastic grandfather and loyal son. Peter was the "number one patient" of his three year old granddaughter Avery, practicing her doctor skills. She often referred to her Jahgoo as "the Dude" when she forgot his name. Peter was an excellent role model and mentor to his family, community and at Pfizer where he enjoyed his 36 year career. He loved coaching and influencing the youth of the community, and especially loved watching his sons play sports even more. Peter was extremely proud to have both of his sons inducted into the Chariho High School Athletic Hall of Fame. He was a 1980 state champion on the Senior League All Star Baseball Team. Peter was also on the 1989 mens softball team that qualified for Nationals with the nickname "the Kid". He enjoyed spending time outdoors doing activities with his family and friends such as camping, golfing, pitching horseshoes and fishing (he was an awesome fishing line untangler). People who knew him knew that he was a lifelong passionate fan of all Boston teams. Peter often joked that being a Sox fan may have caused his "heart" condition. In Tellico Village he was known as a superior athlete. Peter had the ability to fix anything and he was always up for a project. He was a good friend who would help anyone who needed him. Survived by his wife of 36 years, Tracy Weber Zegarzewski; sons and daughters-in-law, Alexander and Toni Zegarzewski, Tyler and Amalea Zegarzewski; granddaughter, Avery Zegarzewski; parents, Peter F. Zegarzewski and Leola Zegarzewski; sister and brother-in-law, Tammy and Jerry Poston; brother and sister-in-law, Todd and Stacy Zegarzewski; several nieces and nephews.
