Peter Gilman Freeze entered the world January 5, 1958 in Exeter NH and started his life of mischief and adventure early. Jumping up and down wildly in his crib gave Mom and Dad a hint of what was to come! Pete traveled the world with his military family, providing roguish exploits for his friends wherever he went - from streaking on a freezing night at the Valentine's Dance to donning a fashion forward navy velvet suit for his Prom to skipping school to go exploring or sailing.
His High School friends recount their experiences with Pete as the best memories of their lives, though his parents and school officials might have a difference of opinion on that. After High School, Pete journeyed to Washington State with friends. There he found Lake Shannon and that he belonged among the lakes and mountains of the North Cascades.
One of Pete's favorites quotes is by Hunter S. Thompson: "Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and proudly proclaiming "Wow, what a ride!"
Pete lived life his own way, but would do anything or give anything to friends, family or those in need. Pete left this world on his final adventure November 13, 2021 at his home in Concrete, WA and leaves his son Eric Freeze, loving parents Ron & Ann Freeze of Exeter NH, sisters Jeanne Freeze & Beth Gallagher of Stratham NH, and nieces Kaly & Weyni Gallagher also of Stratham NH heartbroken at his loss.
