Peter F. Burns, of Bristol passed away on Oct. 2, 2022. Born on January 16,1932, in Bristol, CT, he was a son of the late George and Rose Burns. Peter and his wife, Aline, had spent 66 years together in Bristol, enjoying their three generations of children, traveling, and visiting the casino. Peter, he became a tool and die maker at New Departure Hyatt here in Bristol. He was an incredibly hard worker, much respected by his colleagues and intensely focused on providing for his family. Peter is survived by his wife Aline; brother George of Florida; Daughter Carol & husband Ronald of Florida; Daniel and wife Kathy of Bristol; Kenneth and wife Celeste of Florida; Russell and wife Patricia of Plainville and James and wife Deborah of Washington DC; ten grandchildren Michael, Brendan, Stephanie, Kayla, Anna, Shawn, Katie, Hillary, Samuel, Kelly, several great-grandchildren, and several step-grand and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Peter was predeceased by his two brothers Louis and Edward and his sister Elenore. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, October 10, at 10:30am at St. Gregory the Great R.C. Church, 235 Maltby St., Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. Calling hours will be held Sunday, October 9, from 3-5pm at DuPont Funeral Home, 25 Bellevue Ave., Bristol. For those that will be attending the funeral mass, please meet us at the church on Monday morning.
