STREETSBORO - Pete (Phillip) D. Johnson, age 66, died July 30, 2020. Born in Charlotte, Michigan and raised in Jefferson, Ohio; the son of William and Ann Marie (Durichko) Johnson. Pete was known to many as an exceptional golfer, bowler, all-around athlete, and ping-pong master, but was an even more accomplished husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend. He could fix anything, coached basketball, trained horses, cut down trees, and still had the tenderness to bathe and rock a baby. Pete worked in the rubber industry from 1972 through retirement in 2018 from Quality Synthetic Rubber in Twinsburg. He spent his entire career learning, developing, and designing new processes and equipment for the automotive industry. Pete will be lovingly remembered by his high school sweetheart and wife of 45 years, Dee (nee Dally); daughters, Alyssa (Marc Zarzycki) Johnson, Shelly (Travell) Wright, and Makayla (Josh) Wilson; beloved mother-in-law (and Euchre partner) Delores Dally; sisters-in-law, Linda (Mike) Thompson, and Kathy (Perry) Riggenbach; brothers, Michael Johnson, Steve (Beverly) Johnson, Alan (Jean) Johnson, Scott (Rhonda) Johnson; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pete was preceded in death by his parents, father-in-law, David Dally; sister, Marsha Kay Rossey; sister-in-law, Sharon Johnson, and nephew, Jeff Rossey.
