Peggy Mychele Schildt, 74 of Walkersville, MD, has gone home to be with the Lord on October 8, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Peggy had battled Lymphoma for the past 20 months.
Born on January 17, 1950, in Hagerstown, MD, she was the daughter of Svend Sheppard and Margel Sikorski.
In addition to her parents, Peggy is preceded in death by her brother David Sheppard as well as her son Todd Williar.
Peggy is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Donald Schildt, Sr., of Walkersville, MD; her children and their spouses, Mychele (Clint) Lehman of Adamstown, MD, Donnie (Kelly) Schildt, Jr. of Thurmont, MD, and her daughter-in-law, Charlene Williar. She is also survived by her brothers Jan (Colleen) Sheppard, Brad (Autumn) Sheppard, and her sister Diana (Dini) (Fred) Fritz.
Peggy was a loving grandmother to her grandchildren Carrie, Tyler, Emily and Kaitlyn, as well as her great-granddaughter, Alison.
Peggy enjoyed traveling with her husband, shopping, and playing cards with her family and friends. She also enjoyed doing crafts and cooking. She was always bringing family together around the table with her delicious home-cooked meals.
Peggy will be remembered by many close and dear friends.
Peggy worked as a manager of Frederick County Square; Manager of Sales at Holiday Inn in Frederick; many years of being a consultant for Mary Kay Cosmetics, House of Lloyd (Cookin' the American Way and Christmas Around the World). She was last employed as an office manager at Rosehill (Physical Therapy).
Viewing will be on October 10th from 2-4 and 6-8 at Walkersville United Methodist Church, 22 Main St, Walkersville, MD.
On October 11th, visitation hours will be from 10-11 with the funeral service beginning at 11:00 at Walkersville United Methodist Church with Pastor John Dean officiating. Interment will be at Glade Valley Cemetery in Walkersville following the service.
The family would like to thank the wonderful nurses and staff at Frederick Health Hospital 2C for their excellent and compassionate care.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
