Peggy Jean Paddyaker 79 of Oklahoma City went to her heavenly home on Friday 4, 2022.
Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday November 9, 2022 at the Comanche Nation Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Cemetery in Duncan under the direction of Comanche Nation Funeral Home.
Peggy was born in Lawton to Deyo and Faye (Woolwine) Paddyaker Sr. She attended and graduated Empire School in Duncan. Peggy received her Associates Degree from Rose State College in Oklahoma City. Peggy worked as investigator for the Consumer Fraud Division for the Attorney General for the State of Oklahoma for 27 years.
She was a proud member of the Comanche Nation of Oklahoma where she served on the Gaming Commission and the Constitution Committee for the Comanche Nation. Her and her grandson Shawn went to the Comanche fair, Walters Homecoming, Comanche Language Classes in Norman and holding to her native traditions. Peggy loved to travel all over the world learning the cultures of those she met.
Peggy loved spending time with her family especially her grandbabies and great grandbabies. They could do no wrong in her eyes.
She is survived: her son Jerry Cockrell and wife Wrenda; grandchildren: Brandon Fowler and wife Carolyn; James Deyo Cockrell and Olivia; Shawn Cockrell and Tessa; nine great grandbabies: Gracelyn, Rylan, Easton, Caitlyn, Harper, Bryantlee, Jaxyn, Emmaleigh, Duke; Chiquita Paddyaker, brother Carl Paddyaker and wife Bonita; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other family members and friends.
Peggy is preceded in death by: parents Deyo and Faye Paddyaker; son Johnny Cockrell; brother Deyo Paddyaker Jr.; aunt Wekeah Hoahwah.
