On the morning of Tuesday, March 9th Peggy Givens (Mousseau) was called home to be with the Lord. She is now at peace in heaven with her soulmate, Jodie of 51 years. Peggy and Jodie met when they were 14 and were married at Ironton Church on March 30th, 1968. Through the years, they built a beautiful, loving family. Peggy dedicated her life to her family, raising two children Missy (Gary) Loper & Bobby (Lori) Givens.
Peggy was the most kind and genuine person you could ever meet. She would open her home to anyone in need, greeting them with a cup of coffee and a place to stay. Those of us who knew and loved her will never forget the card games, music and laughs around the table. If you stopped over you would either find her out in her garden, knitting or playing with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, Jodie, her parents Bob and Shirley Mousseau, her sister-in-law Bobette Givens and her brothers-in-law Bryant Clark and Jimmy. She is survived by her children, Missy (Gary) Loper, Bobby (Lori) Givens, her grandchildren, Josh (Wendy) Givens-Hahn, Corey Hahn, Brie Ann Stilwell, Neila Loper, Gavin Loper, Thomas LaVanway, Haley (Grayson) Clark, Karissa Givens, Christopher Givens, Alexa Lewis, Graci Givens and her great-grandchildren, Isaiah Givens-Hahn, Isabella Givens-Hahn, Jeremiah Wiltenburg, Olivia Corp and Addison Clark, her sisters Patty Mousseau and Jane (Walt) Holm, a brother-in-law Edward Givens and sister-in-law Ann Clark as well as many loved nieces, nephews and friends.
A Memorial Service took place Saturday, March 12, 2021 at the Winchester Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
