Pearl M. McIntyre, 93, of Bristol, widow of Harold A. McIntyre, died on Tuesday July 5, 2022 at Shady Oaks Assisted Living in Bristol after a years-long battle with Alzheimer's. She was born on July 31, 1928 in Bristol, the daughter of the late Arthur and Helen (Carrier) Norton. Pearl was a longtime member of Asbury United Methodist Church and worked as a cashier for various banking institutions before retiring from the Bursar's Office of CCSU. In retirement, Pearl and Hal liked to travel and had several memorable trips to Florida and the west coast together. She enjoyed reading and occasional trips to the casino, but most of all she enjoyed her time with family and the many close friends she had met over the years. She is survived by her son Daniel McIntyre of Bristol, grandchildren Kelly and Kevin McIntyre, son-in-law Mark Roback, sisters Shirley Guerrero and Nancy McGinn, brother Ernest Norton, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her daughter Gale (Roback) McIntyre, and her brothers Arthur, Robert, and Edward Norton. For nearly 3 years at the end of her journey, Pearl resided at Mulberry Gardens in Plantsville and then Shady Oaks in Bristol. Our family can't say enough about the many dedicated, hardworking, and loving care givers that looked after "Miss Pearl" at both of these facilities. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts! Services for Pearl were private.
