Jay Paxton Marotti was born on September 20, 1988 in Memphis, Tn. He was the son of the late Rosemary Marotti and Randy Marotti. He was welcomed home to a host of loving Aunts, Uncles and cousins. He had one sister Shelby McCuiston Ward, brother in law Chris and one niece Averie Ward. His maternal grandparents were the late Lois Gipson and late Egbert "Pug" Gipson of Stuttgart, AR. His paternal grandparents were the late Mary Marotti and John Marotti of Crawfordsville. He later had a little brother Lucas Marotti.
Paxton was a happy and smart young man all through school. He made many life long friends at Bragg Elementary. At West Jr High he won many Math awards and made other life long friends. He was the West Memphis High School Blue Devil mascot and played in the band. He was exceptional at the Saxophone and played at Christmas as family arrived. He transferred to Marion High School and became the Soccer captain and lead the Marion Maniacs.
Paxton became a world traveler in college. He spent two weeks in China on an humanitarian trip with classmates and a teacher. He also went to Ecuador and spent a year living in Spain attending the University of Huelva. He received a degree in International Business with a minor in Spanish.
Paxton had a love of cooking and worked at several restaurants in Nashville where he made the best of friends. He had recently been hired to manage a new restaurant in Nashville and was training.
