Heaven gained an angel on Monday, March 25, 2024, Paula Marie Sweet, 80 of East Jordan, Michigan.
She was born on July 16, 1943, in Alba, Michigan. Paula Marie Goodenough married Sanford "Sandy" H. Sweet on January 29, 1966.
Paula had worked many years at Dura, previously known as Gulf & Western, Wickes Mechanical Company and Mount Clemens Metal Products, in East Jordan.
She was a member of the Lighthouse Missionary Church in East Jordan and previous member of the V.F.W. in East Jordan.
She loved to be with her family, knitting, crocheting, quilting, music, camping, bowling and attending the fly-ins at Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
She loved her family and friends enormously, and will be missed by many. Paula was a very generous woman with a "Big Heart".
She is survived by four children; Brent (Rachelle) Sweet of East Jordan, Robin (Tom) Peters of East Jordan, Shandra Sweet-Hock of East Jordan and Sanford Lee Sweet of Tawas; nine grandchildren, Shalea (Alex) Backe, Timothy Sweet, Brent Tanner Sweet, Kyle (Betsy) Peters, Shaina (Ryan) Peterson, Valerie (Matt) DeWyse, Andrew (Christina) Sweet, Hayden Sweet and Landon Sweet; six great grandchild, Lincoln Backe, Brody Allan Peters, Sullivan Kyle Peters, Huxley Thomas Peters, Quinn Jean Peterson and Bridger Thomas Peterson; She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Sanford "Sandy" H. Sweet, her parents and one son-in-law, Christoper Hock.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, March 29, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. at the Lighthouse Missionary Church, East Jordan with interment following at the Morris Cemetery, Jordan Township, Antrim County, Michigan.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until service time at the Lighthouse Missionary Church, East Jordan.
Memorial contributions may be directed to East Jordan Ambulance Association or Hospice of Little Traverse Bay.
