Byron, GA - Paula Rae (Biery) Miner, 77, long-time Villages Resident, passed away peacefully with her family by her side, on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at the Heart of Georgia Hospice Inpatient Unit in Perry, GA.
Paula was born on September 12, 1941 in Columbiana, OH to the late Paul and Olive Faye (Blair) Biery. During her retirement years, Paula and her husband, Charles, did extensive traveling, cruising, dancing and enjoyed The Villages' lifestyle. She volunteered extensive time serving on various boards and at local hospitals in the Villages. She loved everyone from the various communities they lived, but her family was her greatest joy and achievement.
Left to cherish her memory is her beloved husband, Charles R. Miner of Byron, GA; daughter, Lorri (Dean) Whitacre of Columbiana, OH; sons: Barry (Lisa) Miner of Columbiana, OH and Steven (Chrissy) Miner of Warner Robins, GA; 7 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
Paula was preceded in death by her parents, siblings Harry and Barbara, and son-in-law Bill Gouldsberry.
Memorial services celebrating her life will be held on September 28, 2019 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church at 29 Spruce Street, Leetonia, OH with Pastor Kari Lankford officiating. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Heart of Georgia Hospice Inpatient Unit, 1120 Morningside Dr., Perry, GA 31069 or to the Run 2 End Alzheimer's Race, 108 Statham's Way, Warner Robins, GA 31088.
