Paula Sue Garcia

Paula Sue Garcia, 66 years old, passed away on February 5, 2023 surrounded by her family.

Paula was born on September 8, 1956 in Sumter, South Carolina to Vernal Robert and Elba lee (Williams) Ness. Paula is preceded in death by her father, Vernal R. Ness Sr. and brother, Vernal "Bobby" Ness Jr.

Left to cherish the memory of Paula are her children Pablo Garcia Jr., Antonio (Melissa D.) Garcia, Jose Miguel (Lilia) Garcia, and Dallas Garcia; mother, Elba L. Ness; significant other, Pablo Garcia Sr.; grandchildren, Pablo Garcia III, Selena M. Garcia, Amlia H. Garcia, Amyra A. Garcia, and Jose M. Garcia Jr.

Paula was a member of the Church of Christ and the Elk Lodge in Rochester, IN where she helped out a lot. She had a strong work ethic and some may say she was a workaholic. She proudly ran a tax service for 43 years and devoted much of her time there. Paula was a huge football fan and looked froward to Sunday Football. She was a poker fanatic. Most importantly, Paula adored her family. She raised four boys which made her a strong woman. Paula was a grandmother to 5 beautiful children and she loved attending all of their events such as recitals. She was such a giving person that she would give the shirt off her back for anyone. Paula took care of her mother with love and no complaints. She was a genuinely good woman. Paula was loved by many and will be missed by all.

Visitation for Paula will be on Friday, February 10, 2023 from 3:00pm-8:00pm with a rosary to be prayed at 3:30pm at St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower Rd. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at 1:00pm at St. Casimir Catholic Church, South Bend.
