Peacefully passed away on July 12, 2021, at the age of 84. Beloved husband of Donna (nee Begole) Zopfi, and the late Wanda (nee Moore) Zopfi. Loving father of Beth (the late Tony) Selig, Jay (Meg) Zopfi, Barb (John) Stuckert; Step-father of Brenda (Tim) Holland, Bonni (John) Titgemeyer, and the late Bobbi (Charles) Davis. Proud grandfather of Ben, Sydney, Alyssa (Gary), Violet (Joe), Owen, Chuck, Mike, Grant (CJ), and Blake. Further survived by other loving relatives and friends.
Married over 60 years. First to Wanda, his High School sweetheart. He found his second love with Donna until the end of his life. Paul had a long full life from his childhood in Osseo, MN to retirement, splitting time between Llano Grande, Texas and Lake Redstone in Wisconsin. During his life he was proud to be a Marine, Barbershopper, Pipeliner, volunteer, singer, caregiver, dancer, poet, traveler, woodworker, stained glass maker, and animal lover. He was a helper.
Wherever he lived he had a workshop and was happiest when he was creating or repairing. There was always a project and an open door for whoever wanted to help him or just stand around and chat. His wish after death was to have his ashes mixed with paint and used to cover the walls of his workshop.
A service honoring Paul's life will take place at Feerick Funeral Home, 2025 E. Capitol Drive in Shorewood, on Saturday, July 24, with a visitation from 2:00 to 4:00PM, and the service at 4:00PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Paul's name may be made to Wisconsin Humane Society or North Suburban Special Olympics.
