Paul Sipe
Goodbyes are not forever. Goodbyes are not the end. They simply mean I’ll miss you, until we meet again.
06/04/1938 – 09/15/2018
Surrounded by his family, Paul passed on from this life to the next, Saturday afternoon. Paul leaves to celebrate his life, his wife of 58 years, Glenda (nee Blackwood); daughter, Stephanie; sons, Christopher (Lisa) and Craig; granddaughters, Samantha, Lindsay Knight, and Jenna Murray-Sipe. He is also survived by sisters, Marguerite Stolfo, Sarah Ann (Frank) Hagenbush; brother, James (Mary) Sipe, and a slew of nieces and nephews. Paul was preceded in death by parents Wilbur and Margaret (nee Cook) Sipe, sisters, Dorothy (Dot) Good, Evelyn (Tissie) Williamson, and brothers, Barrett, Jack, Wilbur, and David Sipe.
As the youngest of ten, Paul held a special place in his heart for his brothers and sisters that only a youngest child can know. Like his brothers before him, he served in the U.S. Army and was a Paratrooper in the 101ST Airborne Division.
In addition to being a son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather, Paul was many things to many people. He was known for his generous heart and soul not just to his family but also to his many employees of Northeast Tire Mold, Inc., the company he founded in 1976. Having received his 25-year chip this year, he was a Sponsor and friend to many in A.A. For 25 years, Paul prepared and served Sunday breakfast at what came to be known as “Breakfast in the Woods” at the cabin on his beloved Strawberry Hill Farm.
In honoring Paul’s final wishes, there will neither be calling hours nor a funeral. He will be cremated and his ashes saved, to be joined with those of Glenda. Condolences may be sent to 95 Franz Dr., Fairlawn, Ohio 44333.
