Paul Franklin Martin, Jr. died May 22, 2021 at Loving Care Personal Care home in Stockbridge, Georgia from complications of Alzheimer's disease. Son of Paul Franklin Martin, Sr. and Ruth Dixon Martin, Paul was born December 6, 1934 in Taylor's Creek, which today is the site of Ft. Stewart in Hinesville, Georgia. He graduated from Bradwell Institute and attended North Georgia College in Dahlonega. Paul worked for the United States Postal Service and later became a broker with Bullard Realty. He returned to the Postal Service where he retired. A handy wood worker, he crafted unique mailboxes, cat towers, and one- of- a kind birdhouses which he shared with family and friends. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Paul, Sr. and Ruth Martin; wife, Miriam Hopkins; and son, Andrew Glenn; brothers, Don and Bill; and sister, Ann Biles (Jim). He is survived by son, Audie Paul; brothers, George (Gail) and Jerry (Nancy) Martin; grandchildren, Nicholas and Molly Martin; and nieces and nephews with their spouses and children. The family will receive friends at Mowell Funeral Home, 180 N. Jeff Davis Dr., Fayetteville, Georgia 30214 from 12:00-2:00 PM on Saturday, May 29. 2021 followed by a service in the chapel at 2:00 PM. Interment will be in the Camp Memorial Cemetery on Hwy. 54 in Fayetteville, Georgia.
