Paul Andrew Leising, 83, of Rushville passed away December 2, 2021 at his home.
Paul was born June 20, 1938 in Rush County to the late Elmer and Marcella (Bedel) Leising.
He graduated from New Salem High School class of 1957 and worked as a lifelong farmer also serving in the US Army Reserves. He attended St Mary Catholic Church and was a member of the Knights of Columbus (Past Grand Knight) #769 and the New Salem Lions Club.
He married JoAnn Isley in 1968 and enjoyed 53 years of wonderful marriage, three children and six grand children.
In addition to his wife, JoAnn, Paul is survived by his daughters Angela (Craig) Buckley, of Manilla; Tammy (Rob) Jackman, of Milroy and his son Doug (Jenny) Leising, of Shelbyville.
Also surviving are his six grandchildren Crosby and Courtney Jackman, Carly and Kendra Buckley, Ava and Max Leising and siblings Raymond (Mary) Leising, Harold (Diane) Leising, Norma (Albert) Miller, Arnold Leising, Mark (Jeanie) Leising and Marvin (Linda) Leising.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Bernard (Carolyn) Leising, sister Joyce (Glen) Rowland and brother-in-law Albert Miller.
A celebration of life will be held 6 P.M. Friday, December 10, 2021 at Todd Funeral Centre & Crematory with Rev. James Brockmeier officiating. Friends are welcome to call from 4 P.M. until the time of service. Burial will take place at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Shelbyville at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Rushville FFA Alumni or the Rush County 4-H Council.
