Paul A. LaRochelle, 55, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 6, at Baystate Medical with his wife and his aunt by his side.
Paul was born in Northampton, only child to his loving parents, Patricia and Paul (Pudgy) LaRochelle.
He grew up in Williamsburg, where he enjoyed riding his bicycle to his grandparents houses in Haydenville.
He was passionate about his music, excelling in drums, but any instrument was fair game.
He graduated from Hampshire Regional High School in 1984, where he played in the high school band. After which he played in many bands that played in the area.
His other passion was antique motorcycles, and snowmobiles, of which he could never have enough. He was most at peace being near water, weather it was the Chesterfield Gorge, Connecticut River, on a boat or riding the dunes at Cape Cod.
Paul is survived by his loving wife, Marianne, his aunt Margaret Molloy, also his daughter Jessica Warner and her partner, Jeremy Labonte.
He is also survived by his grandchildren, Bret Casella, Madison and Peyton Mackey. And two great grandsons, William and Elijah.
He was predeceased by his parents, and his grandparents, Ed and Helen Molloy, and Virginia and Alphonse LaRochelle.
He also leaves behind many cousins, on both sides of his family.
Also, many friends both past and present.
Marianne and Margaret would like to express their appreciation to the Highland Valley Ambulance service and the teams of Doctors and Nurses in the Cardiac Care Unit at Baystate Medical Center.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 16th at 12PM in St. Mary of the Assumption Cemetery, Section 9, 434 Haydenville Rd., Leeds. Visitation will precede the graveside service on Monday from 10-11:30AM at the Ahearn Funeral Home, 783 Bridge Rd., Northampton. (FACE COVERINGS WILL BE REUIRED)
