Paul Frederick Hendley, Sr., 86, passed away on March 3, 2024 at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center. He was born September 27, 1937 to the late Floyd Samuel Hendley, Sr. & Vera Henderson Hendley in Enterprise, Alabama. Mr. Hendley served in the U.S. Air force before moving to Americus in 1957. In 1958, Paul met the love of his life Wilma Tripp Hendley and together, they built a family and life filled with love and laughter. He had a passion for gardening and enjoyed fishing, nascar racing, he loved his grandchildren and spending time with his family.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2024 at First Baptist Church in Americus at 2pm with Keith Parks Officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 7, 2024 from 1pm-2pm at First Baptist Church in Americus.
Survivors include his loving wife of 65 years Wilma Hendley; his son Paul F. Hendley, Jr. (Suzanne) of Dawson; his daughter Pam Hendley Belcher (Frank) of Andersonville; his brother L.Q. Hendley (Gwen) of LA; his grandchildren Paul F. Hendley lll of Leesburg, Austin T. Hendley (Samantha) of Sycamore, Seth A. Hendley (Meagan) of Dawson, GA, Frank A. Belcher lll (Tracy) of Canton, GA, Jonathan Belcher (LaVonda) of Al; his great grandchildren Jack , Cameron, Daniel, Mackenzie, Ashlyn, Frank IV, Hollis, Tess and Hannah; his brother in-law Gene Tripp (Debbie); his sister in-law Eleanor Watson and several nieces & nephews; he is also survived by his Fur baby Patches
He was preceded in death by his parents Floyd Samuel Hendley, Sr. & Vera Henderson Hendley, his brothers Clifton Hendley, James Byron Hendley, and Floyd S. Hendley, Jr, his sisters Estelle Robinson and Bonnie Graves
