Paul E. Gore, age 61, passed away on December 16, 2022 with his loving wife Deborah at his side. As per Paul's wishes there will be no funeral services, he will be cremated and his remains will be reunited with the USS Peterson. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Frary Funeral Home, 60 Maple Street in Massena, NY.
Paul was born on Decemeber 9, 1961 in Columbus, Ohio. During his childhood Paul and his family moved often, he enjoyed living in different places, but his fondest memories were that of when he spent time on the farm in Plain City, OH caring for the horses with his siblings. After high school, Paul enlisted in the United States Navy, where he became the Quartermaster of the USS Peterson from 1980-1984. Paul loved his time on that ship, travelling the world and taking in every experience available to him, especially scuba diving every chance he could get. Following his years in the Navy, Paul became a highly skilled carpenter. This love of woodworking stayed with him throughout his life, even as he took on other occupations.
Paul is survived by his wife, Deborah, his daughters Mackenzie (Jake) Ratcliff of Logan, OH, Tina (Nick) Harmon of College Station, Texas, Darcy (Chad) Ashley of Norfolk, NY, Jennifer (Florim) Bajraliu of Sandyhook, CT, his son, Joshua Harding and Adrienne Arnold of Endicott, NY, son-in-law Scott Kelsell of Troy, PA, a sister, Barbara (Ned) Mathias of Bremen, OH, eleven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and special friends, Hospice of St. Lawrence Valley. He is predeceased by his mother Barbara Summerfield, a daughter Terri Kelsall, sisters Charlotte Sheridan and Terry Gore, a brother Richard Gore, his grandparents Gerald and Charlotte Summerfield.
Paul enjoyed many hobbies through his life, including hockey, karate, off roading in his jeep, and anything to do with nature. Paul often remarked that he was lucky enough to have completed his bucket list. Paul was also an accomplished and persistent wisecracker, much to the delight of his children and family.
