Paul Wilbur Broadwater, 88, of Salisbury, PA, died Saturday, December 26, 2020, at Meyersdale Medical Center, Meyersdale, PA.
Born January 23, 1932, at Salisbury, he was the son of the late Darius Herald Broadwater & Ethel (Broadwater) Stark. Mr. Broadwater was preceded in death by one son, Robert Broadwater; one sister, Mildred Broadwater and one brother, Forrest Broadwater.
Mr. Broadwater was a truck driver for Menges Trucking, Keyser's Ridge. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean War, and a member of Earl H. Opel, Post 459, American Legion. He was also a member of St. John's United Church of Christ where he served as sexton at the church. Paul was a groundskeeper for Dr. Solosko and had worked for Pittsburgh Pipe for 29 years. Mr. Broadwater attended Salisbury High School.
Surviving is his wife, Carolyn (Fritz) Broadwater; one daughter, Patricia Marie Snelson, Meyersdale; two grandsons, Bobby Cummins, Salisbury & Billy Cummins, Schellsburg, PA, whom they raised; one granddaughter, Kelly (Shane) Cowher, Tyrone, PA and grandson, Gregory Bobick.
Due to Covid 19 pandemic, a private Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
Newman Funeral Home, Inc., 9168 Mason-Dixon Highway, Salisbury, PA, is assisting the family with arrangements.
