Patty Madrid, loving mother, sister, grandmother, tia, mother-in-law, and friend went home to be with the Lord on June 9, 2021, with family at her side.
Patty was born on October 1, 1954, in the beautiful city of Oxnard, CA. She lived in Ventura County all her life and graduated from Oxnard High School in 1972. Throughout her life she had various jobs including Jones Intercable, The Mushroom Farm, and retired from The California Youth Authority.
Patty loved life and enjoyed dancing, singing, and always being the life of the party. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with family, her children, grandchildren, sisters, brothers, nieces, and nephews. She always looked forward to her yearly sister vacations where she enjoyed visiting many different places.
Patty had many friends and she was loved by many. She truly had a heart of gold and an awesome sense of humor, with a contagious laugh, and smile to brighten your day. We love you dearly and will miss you everyday for the rest of our lives, until we are together again.
She is preceded in death by her mother Agripina Madrid, father Jorge Madrid, her sister Josie Gutierrez, and brother Elias Vargas. Patty is survived by her loving children Lisa Delgado (Norbie), JJ Delgado (Josephina), JoAnna Hernandez (David), 14 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, sisters Stella Estrada, Julie Delgado, Maria Elena Hernandez (Leonardo), Irma Madrid, Isela Villanueva (Martin), Olga Luna (Victor), Reyes Vega, Nina Madrid, and Bertha Alicia Ortiz (Guillermo), and brothers Sergio Madrid, Jorge Madrid, Jorge Ramon Madrid, Edgard Ortiz, and Hector Ortiz (Tonantzin). We are at peace knowing that she was greeted in heaven by her special angel Miguel DeJesus.
Until We Meet Again
A light from my life has gone
A voice I loved is still
A place is vacant within my heart
Which never can be filled.
A bouquet of beautiful memories
Sprayed with a million tears
I wish that God could have spared you
If just for a few more years.
I hold you close within my heart,
And where you will remain
To walk with me throughout my life
Until we meet again
So rest in peace dear Patty
And thanks for all you've done
I pray that God has given you
The crown you've truly won.
Your vacant place
no one can fill
I miss you now
and always will.
