Patricia "Patti" Stowe Steely, of Houston, Texas, passed away on Wednesday the 21st of July 2021, peacefully in her home. She was 64 years of age.
Patti was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, on the 20th of August 1956, to James and Mozel Stowe.
Her friendly and vibrant personality added much life to the people she was around. She never knew a stranger, a trail of friends were left everywhere she went due to her warm and welcoming demeanor. She was the most devoted mother and even more devoted "Ya-Ya." Words truly cannot do justice to the love that she had for her family. Patti was generous, loving, and outgoing. She loved holidays, birthdays and any chance to celebrate others. She made a habit of giving extravagant and thoughtful gifts, never wanting anything in return. Patti enjoyed traveling with her friends and family. She was always the first to schedule and talk about the next big trip!
Patti graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelors of Business Administration. She worked in the Energy Industry for over 40 years. Patti held various managerial positions in the Land Department during 25+ years with EOG Resources; was well respected and mentored many. For many years, she was a member of the University Of Oklahoma Energy Management Board Of Advisors.
She was a die-hard Sooner Football fan and rarely missed a game day. Between Norman trips and watch parties, she loved to host and socialize at every opportunity. Often times, she would invite her LSU family over, promising to feed them and watch their game after they watched her OU game.
Patti is preceded in death by her parents, James J. Stowe and Mozel; her grandparents; and numerous aunts and uncles. She is survived by her children, Adrian Waltmon and her husband Matthew of Houston, Graham Steely and his wife Daryl of San Antonio; her twin sister, Pamela McClellan and her husband Jim of Fritch, Texas; and her brother, Jim Stowe and his wife Pat of Edmond, Oklahoma. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Most importantly, she is survived by her biggest treasures, her grandchildren, Emma, James, and Collins.
Patti believed life is full of choices and she always chose happy.
A memorial service and celebration of her life is to be conducted at ten o'clock in the morning on Tuesday, the 27th of July, in the Jasek Chapel of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston.
