Patti Leota Fosbinder, 61 years of age, of Bertrand, Nebraska, passed away on Monday, August 2, 2021, at her home after a courageous battle of cancer. Patti was born on May 9, 1960, in Oconto, Wisconsin, the youngest of three children, born to Harold Glenn and Peggy Pauline (Hicks) Marvel. She received her education from a high school in Hanna, Wyoming and graduated with the class of 1979.
On March 7, 1980, she was united in marriage to Rodney E. Fosbinder in Rawlins, Wyoming. This union was blessed with one son, Bryan. The family made their home in Rawlins for five years, then moved to North Platte, Nebraska; Nemaha, Nebraska; and Tarkio, Missouri; before settling and beginning to make their home in Bertrand, Nebraska.
Patti worked as a night audit clerk at the Super 8 Hotel in Lexington, Nebraska for many years. She was also employed as a cashier at numerous truck stops in the area. When Patti wasn't working, she was crafting. She made many crafts; often times having multiple projects going on at the same time and she loved to share her talents with friends and family.
Patti had a heart of gold and always put others before herself. She was a devoted caretaker for Rodney as he struggled with health concerns. On August 8, 2020, Rodney preceded her in death.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Harold Marvel; and Peggy Marvel; and her husband of 40 years, Rodney.
Patti leaves to celebrate her life: her son, Bryan Fosbinder of Bertrand; sister, Glenda Marvel of Rawlins, Wyoming; brother, Paul Collins and his wife, Christine "Chris" of Roswell, New Mexico; along with nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
