Patsy Leon Sargent, 81, of Bedford, TX, formerly of Lubbock was called home to Jesus on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 surrounded by her loved ones. Patsy was born in St. Elmo, Illinois on September 6, 1939 to Robert Elisha Randolph and Algae Mae Stewart Randolph. Patsy lived in Indianapolis, Indiana where all her children were born. She later went to nursing school in New Mexico and then moved on to Lubbock, Texas. In Lubbock is where she met and married Carl Sargent on March 11, 1983. Patsy and Carl were both members of Sunset Church of Christ. Sometime after Carl's death she moved to Bedford to be close to her daughter. Patsy loved to sing and was in the church singing group. She loved to browse over her plethora of cookbooks and bake something sweet, especially to share. She loved taking care of other people and searched out those in need. She had a sweet, caring heart. She cried with those in pain and rejoiced in the joys of those she knew and loved.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Dale and Gina Parsley, Terri and Glenn Roberts, Larry Parsley, Cheryl McGee, and Mike and Charla Parsley; siblings, Jim and Lavonne Randolph and Rebecca and Mike McLeod; sister-in-law, Marsha Randolph; 13 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; a village of extended family and loads of friends and "adopted" family.
Patsy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Carl in August of 1997; siblings, Virginia Randolph Haile, Nan Etta Randolph Hartman, Raymond Randolph, Thomas Randolph, and Wanda Rae Randolph; two brothers-in-law's; and three nephews. A wonderful family in heaven awaited her!
Family will receive friends at 9:00 a.m., with a service to follow at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 19, 2021 at Combest Family Funeral Homes.
