Patsy Louise Greene, 85, of Post was called home into the arms of the Lord on July 30, 2021. She was born on March 19, 1936 in Slaton, Texas to Howard and Vera Ferguson. She married Billy Greene on November 26, 1953 in Post. They were married for 68 wonderful years and were the epitome of 1 Corinthians 13:4-8. She attended Post High School, and was well known in the Post community as Judge Greene. She served as municipal judge for numerous years. Although she had a servant's heart and was dedicated to serving the community of Post, her true passion and love was her family. She has sat through countless football games, track meets, rodeos, gymnastic meets, basketball games, stock shows, and soccer games. Her loving hands have prepared hundreds of meals for her family and friends and her patient ears have listened to countless encounters of life trials and tribulations. Her gentle disposition has unwaveringly offered words of encouragement, prayer, support, and wisdom.
She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Billy Greene and their children, Benny Greene and wife Toni of Pahrump, Nevada, and Tina Taylor and her husband Todd, of Post. Seven grandchildren: Jarrod Greene of Snyder, Raelye Self and her husband Joe of San Angelo, Terrica Taylor of Slaton, Benjamin Greene of Pahrump, Nevada and Corlee Harkey and her husband Jace of Abernathy and three Great-Grandchildren: Taelye and Taegan Self of San Angelo and Amberlynne Greene of Pahrump, Nevada.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Vera Ferguson, and her son, Jeffrey Lee Greene.
Visitation will be held Monday, August 2 from 6:00-&:30 at Hudman Funeral Home in Post. Graveside services will be Tuesday, August 3 at 10:00 AM at Terrace Cemetery in Post The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to Slaton Care Center and Hospice of the South Plains.
