Patsy (Pat) Davis, 99, of Slaton, peacefully passed away in her home on
Tuesday, December 29, 2020. Memorial services will be held on January 18 at 11:00am at First Christian Church, Lubbock, with Dr. Paul Carpenter officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park in Lubbock.
Pat was born June 6, 1921 in Plainview, Texas to Ray C and Dolly Ayers. The family moved to Slaton when she was in first grade. She graduated from Slaton High School in 1939 and then attended Texas Tech University. Pat married Robert Hall Davis on June 28, 1942, and was his devoted wife for 68 years. She was an active member of First Christian Church in Slaton and then Lubbock, teaching Sunday school for many years in Slaton.
Pat loved and enjoyed spending time with friends and family and those she met through church, Las Chaparritas social club, Texas Grain & Feed Association and P.E.O. Traveling, reading, fishing, picnicking, sewing, dancing, playing bridge and mah-jongg also brought her much joy.
Those left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Robin Carter and husband, Wade, of Slaton; son, Richard "Dick" Davis and wife, Faynel, of Slaton; four grandchildren, Stacy Loveless and husband, Chris, Dub White and wife, Tonya, Reagan Schoenhals and husband, Mickey, Blair Smith and husband, Clint; twelve great-grandchildren, Brittany Loveless, Sloane Loveless, Darby Kate Loveless, Piper Loveless, Skyler White, Ryan White, Beckett Schoenhals, Davis Schoenhals, Hope Schoenhals, Pierce Schoenhals, Knox
Schoenhals and Barrett Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Hall Davis and her brother Robert E "Bob" Ayers. Memorials can be made to Slaton Meals on Wheels, 230 West Lynn, Slaton, Texas 79364.
