Patsy McCorkle Corbett April 6, 1928 - July 16, 2022 West Columbia, South Carolina - Patsy McCorkle Corbett, 94, of West Columbia, died on Saturday, July 16, 2022. Born in Heath Springs, SC on April 6, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Clyde Randolph and Viola Young McCorkle. She was a wonderful cook, talented artist and taught cosmetology before working as a child advocate for the Governor's office. Survivors include her son, Michael Corbett; sister, Linda Robinson; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy L. Corbett; and sisters, Jackie Rast, Joan Jones and Barbara Wilson. The funeral service for Mrs. Corbett will be held at 2 o'clock, Wednesday, July 20th, at Shives Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, 5202 Colonial Drive, Columbia. Burial will follow in Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the funeral home beginning at 1:30 o'clock.
