Patrick W. Holstead

Patrick Holstead, age 53, originally of McMurray, PA passed away with family by his side on January 10, 2023 after a brief illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Farrar and Marilyn Walker Holstead, aunt Joan Walker Daum and cousin Craig Daum. Patrick was the devoted father of Samuel Patrick Holstead of Leesburg, VA and much-loved younger brother of Christy Holstead Semple (Richard), Carrie Holstead, Robert Holstead (Luz) and loving uncle of Rosalie Singer Semple. Along with his siblings, he is survived by his uncle Col. Robert Walker, USAF, Retired (Lou) and beloved cousins John Walker (Diane), Nancy Walker Moore (Daniel) and Keith Daum (Jeanetta). Patrick graduated from Peters Township High School in McMurray, PA (1987) and attended Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, PA. He settled in Leesburg, VA where he worked as a Project Manager in the construction industry and owned a specialty stonecutting company. Patrick loved the Steelers, music and golf, and was devoted to ministerial studies which he had just begun. He was beloved by all who met him and will be remembered for his kindness, sense of humor, wonderful laugh and a smile that lit up the room. A private funeral will be held at Laughlin Funeral Home in Pittsburgh, PA and Celebrations of Life will be held at a later date in Leesburg, VA and Pittsburgh, PA.
