Mr. Patrick Shannon Fann died peacefully surrounded by his loving family on November 9th, 2020 in Rome, GA at the age of 53.
Patrick was born on January 28, 1967 in New Smyrna Beach, Florida to James and Alice Fann. He graduated from Collinsville High School in 1985 and New World Business School in 1987 with a certificate in Business Management. He married Amie Godshall after a three and a half year courtship in 1990. The couple welcomed their son, Spencer "Sparky", and daughter, Sophia "Sweet Love", into their home and set about teaching them how to make a difference in the world around them. After moving to Marietta, Georgia, Patrick began his long and successful career with Southern Wall Products, where he was employed for over 20 years.
Patrick is remembered for his dedication to and great pride in his children, his joy of life, his love of laughter, his generosity of spirit, his caring heart, and his dedication to his family, friends, and career. Patrick was a fun loving individual who enjoyed fishing, golfing, boating, road trips, classic cars, singing, dancing, and cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs. He was passionate about making the people around him feel loved and cared for and was a consummate entertainer who loved to get a laugh.
Patrick is survived by his children, Spencer Fann and Sophia Fann, their mother, Amie Fann, all of Marietta, GA; siblings, Gwendolyn Fann Angle of Marietta, GA and Sharon Fann Teaver (Frank) of LaGrange, GA; and numerous adoring nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, James Ross Fann and Alice DeRieux Orton Fann, and brother, James Timothy Fann.
