Patricia Jean (Capers) Petrasek, 79, passed away peacefully in her home in Hollis, NH, on Thursday, 26 November 2020 surrounded by her loving family.
Pat was born on 12 October 1941 in Bellefonte, PA, the daughter of Burnside and Jane (Harris) Capers. Pat graduated from Woodstown High School, NJ and received her Associates degree from Wilkes University, PA. Pat met her future husband, Emil Petrasek, in college and they were married on 9 June 1962 in Woodstown, NJ. She retired from Emerson and Cuming in 2011.
Pat's family was extremely important to her. She was a devoted wife, mother, and Nana. She cherished her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Pat is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Emil Petrasek, her son Emil Petrasek and his wife Jean (DeCristoforo) Petrasek of Gainesville, GA, her daughter Debbie (Petrasek) Dech and her husband Kevin Dech of Merrimack, NH, six grandchildren, Zachary Dech, Alexander Petrasek, Josef Petrasek, Wendy Dech, Jacob Petrasek, Hannah Petrasek and two great-grandchildren Nathan Petrasek and Lexington Petrasek, two siblings, brother Edward Capers and his wife Ruth (Zoller) Capers of Alloway, NJ and sister Adele (Capers) Warner and her husband Richard Warner of Deep Gap, NC, several nieces and nephews.
Pat loved to play golf with her friends at Nabnassett Lake Country Club in Westford, MA. She loved to bicycle and walk all over Cape Cod when vacationing there every year. She enjoyed her books and was an avid reader. She was also an active member of the Congressional Church of Hollis, NH and took great pleasure from being a member of the choir.
No formal services will be held at this time. Family and friends will be invited to attend a Celebration of Pat's Life in the spring of 2021.
Her family asks that in lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution be made to the American Cancer Society.
