Help us celebrate Patricia! Please share your stories and photos, and invite others who remember Patricia.
Patricia Ann Nep, age 69, went to be with the Lord on January 8, 2021. John, her loving husband of 54 years, was by her side.
Pat was born on April 30, 1951 in Saltville, Virginia and was a lifelong resident of Akron, Ohio. She selflessly raised her family, including daughters, Lisa (James) Tavernaris, Julie (Andrew) Siff, and son, John (Rachel) Nep; eight grandchildren, one great-grandson, and a great-granddaughter on the way.
A faithful and devoted Christian throughout her life, Pat was always friendly and loving towards everyone she met. Her uncanny ability to listen and her perfect smile instantly warmed your heart and made you feel like family. She shouldered your troubles and celebrated your successes as no one else.
Pat was a cosmetologist, cutting hair professionally, and then for her children and grandchildren. She was a homemaker, homeschool teacher, and a former Republican Precinct Election Official. Family was the most important part of Pat's life - she was a loving wife, nurturing mother, grandmother and GiGi. She had a thoughtful and gentle spirit and was truly the heartbeat of her home. In addition to spending time with her family, Pat enjoyed making fabulous meals, baking (especially brownies!) and cruising on the Harley with her husband.
Pat is survived by her immediate family and sisters, Mary Dye, Phyllis (Lonnie) Stacy, and Norma (Brian) Wagner. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles R. Ford, Sr., mother, Alice Ford, and brother, Charles R. Ford, Jr.
The family will receive relatives and friends,Friday, January 15th from 12:00- 2:00 pm at Cox- McNulty Funeral Home, 222 Norton Avenue, Barberton, Ohio. A private burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
"Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, he praises her: Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all." Proverbs 31:28-29
