Patricia Ann Blanchard-fondly known as "Pat". Age-89, passed away on April 7, 2024 at the Glendale Nursing Home in Schenectady, NY. She was born January 15, 1935 in Nashua, NH, daughter of the late Alfred MacLaren and Marjorie (Clock) Garland, and her very caring step-father, James H. Garland.
Pat grew up in Raymond, NH and was one of three children in her family. She was a graduate of Raymond High School. Pat married the love of her life, Harold W. Blanchard and they were longtime residents of Raymond from 1951 and many years beyond. Professionally, Pat worked for 30 years as a Raymond, NH school district lunch lady and retired as a manager of the program.
Pat was a charter member of the Rainbow for Girls in Exeter, was on the Advisory Board in Candia of the Rainbow for Girls where she received the Grand Cross of Colors, was a member of the American School Food Service Association and was a certified worker as well, and Pat was a longtime member of the Order of Eastern Star in Derry.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband, Harold W. Blanchard, and her sister. Joan Hodsdon.
Pat is survived by her two daughters, Barbara Zabala and Cynthia Taylor, 3 grandchildren, James Zabala, Micol Zabala, Katharine LaCroix, brother, Robert MacLaren , great-grandchildren, Owen, Emmett, Nolan, Rowan and Everleigh and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, April 12, 2024 from 4:00-7:00 PM at the Brewitt Funeral Home, 2 Epping St., Raymond, NH.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Raymond Congregational Church of Raymond, 1 Church Rd., Raymond, NH.
Burial will follow in the New Pine Grove Cemetery, Raymond, NH.
