Patricia E. Gallagan, 92, of Manchester, NH, died October 24, 2022, at Courville at Manchester, after a period of declining health.
Born in Detroit, MI on April 12, 1930, she was the daughter of Stephen and Mary (Locke) Dignam. She was raised in Irvington, NY. She resided in Brookfield, CT, Litchfield, and Manchester.
Patricia graduated from Irvington High School.
Patricia was employed with Union Carbide Corporation as an executive receptionist, for several years.
Devoted to her faith, she was a communicant of Saint Francis of Assisi Church, Litchfield, NH.
A woman of many talents, Patricia was an accomplished artist, specializing in primitive art. She loved animals. She was known for her impeccable style and beauty. Her family was the center of her life. Patricia was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was proud of her grandchildren, who brought her endless pride and joy. Patricia will be greatly missed, but her influence will endure as her family continues in the light of her image.
She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas J. Gallagan. He died in 2006; and an infant son, Kevin Thomas.
Family members include two sons, Stephen Gallagan and his wife, Marilynn, of Acton, MA and "Brian" Gallagan and his wife, Sheryl, of Manchester; a daughter, Carol Egan and her husband, Gerard, of Southbury, CT; eight grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
Services: A calling hour will be held Thursday, October 27, 2022, from 10 to 11 AM at Saint Francis of Assisi Church, 9 Saint Francis Way, Litchfield, NH.
A mass of Christian burial will follow in the church at 11 AM.
Burial will take place in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, Sleepy Hollow, NY at a later date.
