Patricia Ann (Croff) Dorr passed peacefully at home on February 4, 2024 with her loving husband at her side. Pat was born February 22, 1933 to Leslie and Mary (Barnes) Croff and attended high school at Wallingford and Burr and Burton. She married the love of her life Donald Dorr on July 1, 1955. Together, they had four children, Douglas (Dawn Dorr), Debra Salo (Patrick), David and Denise. Not only did Pat raise four children and keep house, she did the bookkeeping for the business she shared with her husband for over sixty years. She was a member and Past Matron of the Eastern Star. For ten years (2001-2011) Pat and Don put on a free Thanksgiving dinner, serving three hundred or more each year, for any and all at Dorr Barn. Pat enjoyed music and dancing, and she and Don spent many Saturdays at Charlie and Eva Dorr's in Chittenden with local bands playing. Pat enjoyed going on cruises with her sister Linda, her daughters Debra and Denise, Joann Bruce, Peggy Jones, Louise Croff and Cathy Flannagan. The more the merrier! Pat is survived by her husband Don, her sister Linda (Hulett), brother William (Ike) Smith, her children Debra Salo (Patrick), David and Denise. Her grandchildren, Shawn and Pearl Salo, David Dillion Dorr, Jessica and Jennifer Dorr, great grandchildren Charlotte, Quintin and Forrest Salo and many nieces and nephews. Pat was predeceased by her parents, her brother Jim and her son Douglas. A Memorial Service for Pat will be held on Saturday February 10, 2024 at 4pm at Brewster-Shea Funeral Service, 34 Park Place Manchester Center, VT 05255.
