Help us celebrate Patricia! Please share your stories and photos, and invite others who remember Patricia.
Mrs. Patricia A. Donohue, 82, of Hooksett, passed away at the Courville at Manchester on June 17, 2021 after a period of declining health.
Born in Patterson, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Norma (Ximiness) Cort. She was raised and educated in Swampscott, MA where she became a member of the National Honor Society, something that she and her family were very proud of.
Pat, Mom, or Mrs. D, the neighborhood mom, however you knew her, was a woman of dignity and strength. She was beloved by all that met her, and always had an ear to listen and a shoulder to cry on. When she wasn't busy taking care of her family, or working, she could be found enjoying a good book, especially Tom Clancy novels.
Prior to her retirement, Patricia was employed as an executive secretary for Northeast Delta Dental. Her Christmas sweetbreads were enjoyed every year as she lovingly prepared them for her office family. After retirement, Pat found joy in her daily neighborhood walks, reading, and going to Market Basket. She was a staple at family gatherings where her knowledge of family history was passed along, and her kind disposition was always welcomed.
She was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, George B. Donohue, Jr.; her son, George B. Donohue, III, and her siblings, James Cort and Arlene Mathieu.
Patricia is survived by her sons, Timothy Donohue and his wife Laura of Mendon, MA and Edmund "Ted" Donohue of Hooksett along with his girlfriend Megan Richardson and daughter Brooklyn Malik with whom she found a new friend, honorary granddaughter and spark of joy. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Timothy Donohue, Jr., Christopher Donohue, Chelsea Donohue and Hannah Enghel and husband Eric Enghel.
A Celebration of Life will take place with family and friends at a date and time to be determined. Assisting the family with arrangements is the Petit-Roan Funeral Home in Pembroke. To share a memory or offer a condolence, please visit www.petitroan.com
