Patty George Decker was born on May 15, 1952 in Sedro Woolley, Washington to Mary Johnson and George George. She passed away on November 18, in Stanwood, Washington with family by her side. She is survived by her mother, Mary Johnson, a brother, Ed (Dee) George; a stepson, Jimmy (Laura) Decker; grandsons, Colby and Cru; aunt, Norma Bianchini; several cousins; brother in law, Tony Anthony. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Decker; son, Ryan Decker; sister, Cindy Anthony; father, George George; stepfather, Tom Johnson.
Patty was educated in the Concrete School District and graduated with the class of 1970. She married Jim Decker and lived in Forks, WA for over 40 years. Patty worked at the elementary school as a cook. She loved her job and enjoyed the students at school. She and Jim spent time travelling. During this time, she lost her son in a tragic accident at a young age, and her husband, Jim passed away. Patty began to have issues with her health, so she made the decision to move home to Concrete to live with her mother, Mary Johnson. She was a companion to her mother at the family home in Concrete for 11 years. Patty loved to go to the casino. She and her sister in law, Dee, would make day trips "downriver." Pedicures, lunch out, and slot machines were her favorite days! She would drive her mother to go shopping, the hairdresser, and around town to visit, but only driveway visits! There was no getting out and coming in. A honk and a wave, and they would be gone. Trips to Arizona to visit her aunt and cousins were also much enjoyed. Her brother, Ed and his wife, Dee visited often and the party was on! She dearly loved the Seattle Mariners and loved to watch them play.
Patty will be missed greatly by her family that assumed her care these last years as her health concerns worsened. By her request, there will be no services. The family asks that you only cheer extra loud for the Seattle Mariners! Patty would love that!!
