Patricia H. Blake, 83, of Hobe Sound, Florida passed away on July 9, 2018 at her Jupiter Island home with family by her side.
Born in Boston, Massachusetts, Pat, along with her husband Curt, were residents of Jupiter Island, FL; and spent seasons in Northeast Harbor, ME, South Woodstock, VT, and West Hartford, CT.
Pat is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Curtis L. Blake, Co-founder of Friendly Ice Cream Corporation; son Joseph M. Ulcickas and spouse Dorothy of Mansfield, MA, daughter Anne L. Garrymore and spouse Bill of Skillman, NJ, son James M. Ulcickas and spouse Julie Ann of Santa Ana, CA, and stepdaughter Susan Blake of Kentfield, CA; grandchildren Katrina and David Viau, Jessica and Brian MacKenzie, James R.W. Ulcickas, Nelson and William Garrymore, Frank and Ella Ulcickas, Noah and Barry Blake, Schuyler and Alexandra Greenawalt, and great grandchildren Maddy and Lucy Blake, and Lauren Viau. Pat is also survived by her loving cat, Meiling. Pat was predeceased by her step-son, Channing Blake of Pawling, NY.
Pat valued philanthropy within her community and was involved in many organizations in each of the communities in which she lived. She served as the treasurer of the Garden Club of Mount Desert and President of the Asticou Inn Corporation in Northeast Harbor, Maine. She was a trustee for the Maine Coast Heritage Trust and Asti-Kim Corporation, and a benefactor to the Maine Seacoast Mission and Friends of Acadia. Along with her husband Curt, she was a benefactor of the Massachusetts General Hospital, with their names gracing the iconic Blake building. Pat also supported The Four Arts in Palm Beach, FL and several other organizations across the East coast.
Pat was a loving wife and parent and will be remembered as fiercely loyal to her friends and family, elegant, graceful, and uncompromising.
Services will be private.
