Patricia Burns, age 87, passed away in Amarillo, Texas, on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 following an extended illness. Rosary will be recited on Monday December 13, 2021 in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church at Nara Visa, New Mexico beginning at 6:00 PM Mountain Time. Mass of the Resurrection will be offered on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at 11:00 AM Mountain Time. Burial will follow in the family plot of the Nara Visa Cemetery at Nara Visa, New Mexico by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton, New Mexico. Patricia Burns was born on June 4, 1934 in Denver, Colorado to John and Maysie Burns. She married Robert Burns on December 27, 1954 in Clayton, New Mexico and he preceded her in death. After living in San Francisco, New York and Chicago, she and her husband, Robert returned to his hometown of Nara Visa, New Mexico to take over the family Ranch. She spent her time raising 4 children, maintaining a beautiful yard and was an active member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Nara Visa and a volunteer for the Nara Visa Community Center. In addition to her husband, Patricia was proceeded in death by a Grandson, Kirk Burns, her parents John and Maysie Burns and a sister, Sally Allen. SURVIVORS: 2 SONS: Jimmy Burns and wife Liz of Nara Visa, New Mexico and John Burns and husband Mike Teele of New York City, New York. 2 DAUGHTERS: Barbara Stoll and husband Rick of Indiahoma, Oklahoma and Kellee Clark and husband Terry of Fort Sill, Oklahoma. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. MEMORIALS: The family requests donations to the following organizations in Patricia's memory in lieu of flowers.
