Funeral services for Pamela Pruett Wilson, 67, will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, January 15, 2023, at Lyttleton Street United Methodist Church, 1206 Lyttleton Street, Camden, SC. Rev. Gary Rivas will officiate. A visitation will be held in the Family Life Center following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lyttleton Street United Methodist Church Building Fund.
Pam passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2023. The daughter of the late Robert Ryland and Dr. Laura Jean Morgan Pruett.
Pam (Gigi) is survived by her husband of 45 years, Donnie W. Wilson; sons, Justin Wilson (Missy), Brian Wilson; and daughter, Sarah Nettles (Phillip); grandchildren, Ryland, Palmer, and Myles Nettles.
Pam and her family moved to Camden from Aiken when she was four years old. She graduated from Camden High School and received her undergraduate and master's degrees in English from the University of South Carolina. Pam was a dedicated teacher for 33 years in Kershaw County and dearly loved her chosen career.
She loved Lake Wateree where she spent most of her early life growing up. She and her husband moved to Lake Wateree after retirement where she lived the remainder of her life in her Happy Place. She loved going to Disney World especially when the Grandchildren came along. Magic Kingdom was her favorite park.
She was a member of Lyttleton Street United Methodist Church where she was a volunteer in the nursery for many years. She was also a member of the Camden Junior Welfare League.
Through her marriage to Donnie, she had a huge family of in-laws, nieces and nephews.
She was loved by many friends she made throughout the years.
Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
