A native of Charlotte, NC, she was born December 12, 1949 at the old Mercy Hospital on 5th Street. The youngest of six children, her parents were the late Reuben Pressley "Preston" Grant and Willie Mae "Billie" Wood Loftis Grant. They met in November 1982 in the Singles Sunday School Class and have been blessed with 39 wonderful years of marriage. At University Hills, Pam (and Avery) sang in the Adult Choir. She served on various committees over the years including the Stewardship Committee, Insurance Committee, Condolence Team, Counting Team, Ministry Involvement Team and co-leader of a Sunday Night Fellowship Team. However, her most memorable, and to her rewarding, service in the church was as teacher of the 4th and 5th Grade Girls Sunday School Class, in later years adding the 3rd Grade Girls. She held this position for 20 years from September 1993 until August 2013. Since then she has been a member of the Simpson Connect Group.
