Pamela E. Mehring, 71, of Okauchee, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at Aurora Medical Center - Summit.
Pam was born on August 22, 1953, in Milwaukee, WI, to Edwin and Audrey (Ressel) Wolff. She graduated from John Marshall High School in 1971 and earned her bachelor's degree in education from Cardinal Stritch University in 1977. On October 9, 1976, she married the love of her life, Michael Mehring. Together, they settled in Lake Country, where they built their first home and raised their two sons, Michael Jr. and Matthew.
Traveling was one of Pam's greatest joys, and she cherished exploring the world, especially with her family. Among her most treasured memories were trips shared with her mother, a bond she held dear. Pam had a heart full of love for people of all ages, and her life's work was a testament to her care and dedication.
As a teacher and entrepreneur, Pam's passion for improving lives was evident in everything she did. Whether shaping young minds in the classroom, founding and enhancing daycare facilities, or selflessly serving as her mother's primary caregiver for the past 20 years, she approached every role with compassion, determination, and grace. Her life was defined by a deep commitment to service, hard work, and sacrifice for the greater good, leaving an enduring legacy of love and kindness.
Pam is survived by her devoted husband of 48 years, Michael Mehring, Sr. of Okauchee; her mother, Audrey, her sons, Michael Mehring, Jr. (Jamie) of Louisville, KY, and Matthew Mehring (Suzanne) of the Town of Lisbon; and her beloved grandchildren, Hailey, Ethan, Asher, Brock and Carter. She is also survived by her brother Randy (Karen) Wolff of Germantown, nephew Brandon (Samantha) Wolff, and great-niece and nephew Logan and Piper.
She was preceded in death by her father, Edwin, and other cherished family members.
Pam will be remembered for her boundless love, tireless devotion to others, and the lasting impact she made on everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her legacy of kindness and service will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
A celebration of Pam's life will be held in early 2025. Please check back for updated service information.
