Pamela Jones Atkins, 67, of Moncks Corner, SC, owner of Rice Field Realty, died Wednesday morning in the Lowcountry Community Hospice House.All services will be private according to DIAL-MURRAY FUNERAL HOME, Moncks Corner.Pam was born November 23, 1953, in Orangeburg, SC, daughter of Hugh Allen Jones and Hilda Strock Jones.Pam spent her adolescence in Wando, SC, swimming, skiing, and daring jumps off the Wando River bridge. She was a graduate of Berkeley High School.She was highly respected and loved in the community. Known for her kind heart and sassy quick wit. Quick trips to the grocery store often led to hours standing in the cereal aisle catching up with neighbors, high school friends or business acquaintances.She started her career working as a real estate paralegal for Dennis and Dennis, Attorney at Law and Public Defender, J. Mitchell Lanier. With a wealth of knowledge in Real Estate Pam shifted her career to selling Real Estate full-time with Benchmark Realty. Pam connected with her clients on a personal level and was exceptional for finding the perfect house for her families. As her career stabilized, she opened her own business and became Owner, Broker of Rice Field Realty. Her family was her top priority. Spending time and catering to her grandchildren was her favorite hobby. Pam was on the sidelines and in the audience of every sporting event, gymnastics, school play, or award ceremony to shout out a recognizable "woo-hoo" for her grandkids to know she was in the crowd. Surviving are her husband, Fred Day; a daughter, Clancy Atkins, of Moncks Corner; a son, Michael L. Atkins, Jr., and his wife Brandy, of Moncks Corner; a sister, Betty Hinson of Columbia; three grandchildren, Bryson Hearn, Kobie Atkins, and Zoey Atkins; and beloved friend, Dee Dee DuPre of Moncks Corner.
