Kara McLain, age 19, died 14 October 2016 near Hutchinson, Kansas. She was born 21 August 1997 in Hays, Kansas, to Dr. Allen and Barbara Snell McLain. Kara graduated in 2015 from Western Plains High School in Ransom, Kansas. She attended Southwestern College in Winfield, Kansas, where she was a member of the A Capella Choir and was involved in the theater. Kara was a member of the United Methodist Church in Arnold, Kansas. Kara is sorely missed by all who knew her. Her love of music and passion for kindness will long be remembered by her fellow students at Southwestern College and her home community of Ransom.

Irene Duff, 90, of West Melbourne, FL, passed away on May 24th after her battle with dimension. Irene will be buried with her husband in Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. Irene was born in Haverstraw, NY on September 20, 1926. After graduating high school in 1943, she went to Washington D.C. to work for the FBI helping with the war effort. Upon returning home after WWII she held various positions in New York City, include one with Esquire magazine. Irene was married to Alan Duff on May 12, 1956; they were married for 40 years. Colleen Ann Swartz was born March 2, 1962, in Hartford, Connecticut, along with her twin, Lynn Marie. The girls were soon adopted into a loving home and raised in Connecticut until after graduating High School, when Colleen joined the Air Force in 1981. At her first duty station of Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Tucson, Arizona, Colleen met her soul mate, Martin Allen, to marry, honorably discharge, and begin raising their two sons, Paul Martin and Nickolas Dean by 1983. Colleen followed her husband through his 26 year Air Force career from Arizona, to Spain, Germany, Italy, and finally to retire at Hurlburt Field Air Force Base, Florida. Phoebe Howard Graham was born on July 16, 1919 and passed away quietly on September 29, 2011 at the age of 92. She was the daughter of Edward Lorenzo Howard, Sr. and Martha Elizabeth Hellewell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice J Graham and brother, Edward Jr. Phoebe was born in Bancroft, ID and then moved to California in 1929. She graduated as the Valedictorian from San Juan High School and received an AA degree from Sacrament Junior College in music and drama. Irma Pietrangelo died on May 08, 2017, surrounded by her son and daughter. She celebrated her 90th birthday on April 05. Formerly of Shorecliff Dr., in Greece, NY, she has lived in Alexandria, Virginia for the past 12 years. She is survived by daughter Renee Pietrangelo, son Anthony Pietrangelo; granddaughters Thais Pietrangelo Carter and Tiara Pietrangelo Guy; great grandsons Isaiah, Samuel, and James Carter; and great granddaughter Gabriella; sister Antoinette Surace; and numerous nieces and nephews. John Duane Hansen passed away peacefully on April 26, 2017 surrounded by family. John was born February 20th 1927 in Twin Falls Idaho to Leland Aurelian and Bertha Mae Thurgood Hansen. He was the second of six sons and one daughter. He was raised on a dairy farm. The family also produced sugar beets, hay, potatoes, and grain. He started milking cows at the age of 4 and started driving tractor at the age of 9. Following graduation from Twin Falls High School he joined the Navy and was assigned to the Sea Bees. Terry N. Shane, 66, of Navarre, died May 5, 2017, unexpectedly. He had moved here from Oregon recently. He was a veteran, in the Air Force for 8 years, one year in Vietnam. He received a BS degree at Portland State, retiring from Intel after several years working as a computer engineer. He was a devout Christian attending the Navarre First Assembly of God Church. Robert M. Sedler, 95, passed away on April 4, 2017 in Scottsdale, AZ where he had lived since 1978. He was born in Erie, PA, son of Marsha Frost Sedler and Louis Sedler, on August 29, 1921. Bob graduated from Girard High School and served in the Army Air Corp as a pilot. He continued flying as a private pilot for many years. He owned and operated Hertz Rent a Car/Truck in downtown Erie and at the Erie International Airport for 36 years. Cynthia Diane Riley returned to the Heavenly Choir on Easter Sunday, March 23, 2008. She arrived from there on June 20, 1958, bringing the music from heaven to distribute to all her relatives and friends on earth. She leaves the loving care of her mother and father, Wanda and Art Riley, her two sisters and brothers-in-law, Charmaine and Gene Holley and Elizabeth and Venkat Elaprolu, her Aunt Dorothy Jones and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews and her many friends who loved her.
