Pablo P?rez Ram?rez dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather - passed away on January 26, 2023, surrounded by his family at the age of 89 in Edinburg, Texas.
Pablo was born to Claudio P?rez and Santiaga Ram?rez in Camar?n, Nuevo Leon. After marrying the love of his life, Esperanza Jim?nez, they immigrated and settled in McAllen, Texas, and enjoyed 62 years together. They were blessed with four children, Dr. Pablo (Flor), Lourdes (Felix III) Cano, Ignacio (Belen), and Concepcion (Arturo) Caballero.
Together they welcomed ten grandchildren Felix IV (Liana), Judith (Rogelio) Jim?nez, Aaron, Tomas, Wendy, Samantha, Amy (Chance) Goodgion, Katalina, Joaquin, and Santiago, as well as one great-granddaughter, Emma Hope. Pablo loved his grandchildren - they brought out the laughter and smiles in a quiet and reserved man.
Before retiring, he was an active member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in McAllen. He served as a Eucharistic Minister, Baptism Preparation Team, and was a member of the annual Jamaica Committee where he perfected the skill of grilling chicken on the pit. His sport of choice was always fishing with his sons and his son-in-law and he loved to watch a good baseball game.
After 30 years he retired from The City of McAllen, he pursued a quieter life closer to nature where he and Esperanza spent the afternoons praying and meditating in their garden reminiscing about their younger days and surrounded by their grandchildren's laughter.
Pablo lived a long and happy life. He taught his children what it means to serve one another, to love unconditionally, and that taking care of the ones who cared for us was the highest honor.
Pablo was preceded in death by his parents Claudio and Santiaga, his in-laws Guadalupe and Concepcion Jim?nez, and several brothers and sisters. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in McAllen, Texas followed by burial at Valley Memorial Gardens.
The family is grateful to Bee First Amara Hospice for their compassionate care in his final days. Special thanks to his caregivers Maria Guerra-Espinoza, Alma Silva, and Gaby Coronado who tirelessly cared for our father as theirs.
