Owen Patrick Hughes, Jr., of Cambridge, passed away Friday, June 21, 2024 at Chestertown Nursing and Rehab. Born in Cambridge, he was the son of the late Owen Patrick, Sr. and Pauline Hubbard.
Following high school, Owen went to proudly serve our country in the US Air Force. After being discharged, he went to work as a truck driver for several companies including working long term for Airpax. Owen was adored by many of the residents of Cambridge and will be missed by friends and family.
Owen is survived by his son, Glenn Hughes and his wife, Kim, of Seven Valleys, PA. Sisters Phyllis Flowers of Cambridge, MD and Carol Collins of TN. In addition to many nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by his parents, brother, Morrie Hubbard and his wife of over 60 years, Geraldine Hughes.
A memorial service will be held Friday, June 28, 2024, at 2:00pm at Holloway Funeral Home, 501 Snow Hill Road. Friends and family are invited to visit an hour prior to the service. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Goodwill Cemetery in Pocomoke, MD.
