Oran Fjarlie passed away peacefully on September 27, 2021, from an extended illness.
Oran graduated from Twin City (Stanwood) High School in 1959. After graduating he joined the family farm with his wife Judy, where they raised their three active children. They all enjoyed their Holstein cows, crop farming and Oran belonged to numerous organizations in the dairy business where he served on many boards. He also refereed high school basketball from 1963-1975. Their children were active in 4-H and FFA and working alongside their father on the family farm. After retiring from the family dairy business, Oran worked for Smokey Point Concrete for 12 years. When it was finally time to truly retire, Oran and Judy moved to Surprise, Arizona. Oran loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He also was an avid pickle ball player, loved playing cards and visiting with their many friends.
Oran leaves behind his loving wife Judy. Their marriage of 63 years was a testament to all. They loved each other unconditionally, their love was a true tribute to married life.
Oran leaves behind his daughters Jane (Jeff) Hyink of Lynden, Julie (Dean) Seckel of Mt. Vernon and son John (Lori) Fjarlie of Athens, Wisconsin, eight grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. He leaves his loving sister Joan Andrews (Jack Freberg) of Stanwood. He is preceded in death by his parents Harold and Leona Fjarlie and sister Joye Impson.
The memorial service to celebrate Oran's life will be held on October 30, 2021, at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, Stanwood, WA at 1:00pm.
