We lost the love of our life on Thanksgiving Day at the age of 77. Oracio was born July 29, 1944 to Ben and Trini Lopez in Fruita, CO. He graduated from Fruita High School in 1962, and married his love Elda Sanchez in 1964 in Center, CO. He enjoyed building dune buggies, a couple of Jeeps that he raced in, and a '51 Mercury which was his lifetime dream that he enjoyed accomplishing with his sons.
He worked as a body and fender man, car painter, and Brakeman and Conductor for the Denver and Rio Grande Railroad. While as an instructor in Tae Kwon Do, he became a 4th degree black belt in 2013. For extra fun he went fishing, biking, hiking, and dancing in Taos, NM for Mother's Day celebrations and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Oracio said his greatest accomplishments were his children and grandchildren. Joe (Patricia) Palisade, Roy-Palisade, Sean (Priscilla) Loma, Cynthia (Jereme Lucero) Grand Junction. Grandchildren: Brittany, Andrea, Kendra, Larrisa, Desare, Alexis, Brelynn, Cassandra, Sonya, and Rosa Lopez, and Nadia and Angelo Lucero.
Celebration of Life will be held December 11, 2021 at Grand Valley Event Center, 2400 Consistory Ct., Grand Junction, CO from 11am - 3pm.
