beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 24, 2021. She was born to the late Servando and Hermelinda Martinez, on January 29, 1937, in Guerrero, Tamaulipas, Mexico, and is preceded in death by her two siblings, Jaime Martinez and Elda Martinez. She married Antonio "Tony" Weaver in 1958, and they lived happily together in Brownsville. Olga is survived by her loving husband Tony, her sister Elba Martinez Danelis and four children: Sylvia Carrizales (Hector), Graciela Rodriguez (Mario), Antonio Weaver, Jr. (Mary Lou), and Norma Weaver-DeOrnellas (Samuel). She is also survived by eight grandchildren (Elise, Ryan, Daniella, Mario, Kristina, Tony III, Olivia, and Emma) and one great-grandchild (Sofia). Olga relished being a mother and made caring for her family her sole vocation in life. She was always supportive and encouraging, and she was immensely proud of all her children. Olga always sacrificed her needs for the good of her family. Aside from taking care of her family, she enjoyed cooking, gardening, and sharing a good laugh with her family. Olga was known for her witty sense of humor, her sage advice and her quiet strength. Furthermore, Olga was a faithful and devout Catholic.
The family would like to thank Maria, Concha, Virginia, Karla, Eliza, Cassie, Marisela, and Karen for their loving care of our mother. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at 10 a.m. at the Funeraria del Angel Buena followed by a chapel service at 1:00 p.m. Burial to follow immediately after the chapel service at Buena Vista Burial Park.
