Ola J. Plante, age 87, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2024. She was born in Tewksbury, MA on April 11, 1937, to the late Mary Agnes (Deveau) and Odina Martel. Ola attended Tewksbury Elementary School and Central High School in Manchester, NH. She was a long-time resident of Deerfield, NH.
Ola married the late Lee Plante Jr. on July 21, 1956. She was a loving and dedicated wife, and together they shared many wonderful years. Ola had a deep affection for animals, especially cats, and found great joy in their companionship. She was an avid reader and cherished the quiet moments spent with a good book.
After a long and fulfilling career, Ola retired from the State of New Hampshire Health and Human Services Department. She was a quiet woman who valued her privacy but was always thoughtful and kind to those around her.
Ola was predeceased by her beloved son, Leo Plante III, and her husband, Leo Plante Jr. She was also predeceased by her brother Arnold Martel of Tewksbury, MA. She is survived by her brother Donald Martel of Palm Harbor, FL, and her sister Olia Miller of Belvidere, IL. Ola also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who will remember her fondly.
Interment will be at Old Center Cemetery in Deerfield, NH. No services are planned at this time.
