Born in East Pointe, Georgia, February 3, 1920 to Robert L. Roberts and Nancy Cordelia Hudson-she died peacefully August 6, 2022 at her home in Vero Beach, FL.
Ola married James H. Ellis in Atlanta, GA in August of 1942. After his service time in World War II, they returned to the Atlanta area. After several years of moving to different southeastern states with the FAA, they were transferred to Vero Beach, Florida in 1958, and remained there until their deaths.
She was the last remaining sibling of her 5 brother and 2 sisters, all from the Atlanta area.
Ola was an active member of the Vero Beach Church of Christ since 1958, and leaves behind many dear and cherished friends.
She is survived by her daughter Nancy Brown (James) of Stuart and her son, Robert H. Ellis (Susan) of Port St. Lucie; granddaughters Allison Brown Smith (Richard), Christina Brown Paluvai (Venk), Kimberly Ellis Shepard (Ian), Brittney Ellis Simmons (Justin), Amy Ellis Dewitt (Rich) and great grandchildren Parrish and Logan Smith, Kylie and Caleb Shepard, Gracie and Jack Dewitt, and Jordan Simmons. Also by numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband James H. Ellis and her son James Randolph Ellis.
A memorial service will be held at the Vero Beach Church of Christ on August 27th, @ 11am, followed by a private graveside service.
